Hello world - Hola mundo

34 weeks / 34 semanas

[ENGLISH] My first post:

Who am I? My name is Ana, I am originally Spanish, live in Sydney with my Australian husband and our son G.

What do I do? I am a scientist, a research fellow and a university lecturer.

Why am I here? Because I have been thinking for a while that I wanted to try blogging (boring!), but also because I think that there are a lot of women out there that enjoy (but struggle) a full time job combined with a full time life. Sharing is caring, this is how I do it.

What else is happening? Two major things: (1) I am 34 weeks pregnant with my second son (no name yet); (2) I have had Bell's Palsy for 2 months.
What is Antiponai? The word NAI in Galician (Galicia, in the NW of Spain, is where I am from) means mother; Antiponai  is a combination of Nai and Antipodes... a mum in the Antipodes, far, far away from all her relatives... but very close to my antipodean friends.

[ESPAÑOL] Mi primera bitácora:

Quién soy? Me llamo Ana, soy española y vivo en Sydney con mi marido australiano y nuestro hijo G.

Qué hago? Soy científica, investigadora financiada por el estado y profesora titular de universidad.

Por qué estoy aquí? Porque llevo tiempo pensando que quería probar a hacerme una bitácora (como casi todos no?), pero también porque creo que hay muchas mujeres que disfrutan (con trabajo) de trabajar a tiempo completo mientras viven una vida completa. Compartir es querer, así es como lo hago yo.

Qué más está pasando? Dos acontecimientos importantes: (1) estoy embarazada de 34 semanas con mi segundo hijo (no tenemos nombre todavía); (2) Llevo 2 meses con Parálisis de Bell.
Qué significa Antiponai?  Antiponai es la combinacion de Nai, que es madre en Gallego (soy de Galicia, NO de España) y Antípodas, una madre en las antípodas, lejos de toda su familia... pero cerca de mis amigos de aquí.
